The "how’s" and "why’s" of orthodontic treatment can be a
real mystery for new patients and their families. When should you start? What needs to be
done first? How much will it cost?The American Association of Orthodontists
recommends an initial evaluation for all children by age 7. At our office the initial exam
is complimentary and includes a panoramic x-ray and Dolphin digital photographs. Dr. Berglund will do a thorough exam to determine what
treatment will be needed, when it should start and what it will probably cost. If it is
too soon to begin treatment, recall exams are scheduled.

If you and your family are ready for treatment to begin,
diagnostic records will be completed. These include:
- Impressions to create plaster models of the teeth
- An x-ray of the face in profile to see the relationships of the
teeth to the jaws and face
After records are completed, a formal review or consultation is
provided and financial arrangements are completed. We accept most insurance payments
